Where Dreams Come True

Picture
I am a certified medical support hypnotherapist.  I received my hypnotherapy training from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  It is arguably the best hypnotherapy school in the world.  Students from 49 states, as well as from 26 countries around the world, have been trained there.  I have received over 500 hours of supervised instruction.  This fine school is the only licensed school of hypnotherapy in the United States.  It is licensed by the State of New Mexico Higher Education Department.  The techniques and protocols I implement have been scientifically verified by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to be effective.  Clinical studies have been done, and are currently in progress, to show the healing power of hypnotherapy with conventional medicine.  The NIH, which is one of the world’s foremost medical research centers, is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, and is our nation’s medical research agency.

I have lived in the Quad Cities (Bettendorf) since 1979.  I am married to Anita, and we have one son, Blake.  Anita is employed by Alcoa, and Blake (25) graduated from Wartburg College.  Blake majored in elementary education with middle school math and science endorsements.  He was also a 4-year starting catcher for the Knight's baseball team.  Blake is in the fourth year of teaching at Clear Creek Amana School District, where he is teaching sixth grade math.  He coaches 8th grade football, 7th grade boys' basketball, and high school varsity softball.

I began teaching in the Pleasant Valley Community School District in the fall of 1979 until my retirement in 2013.  Besides teaching fifth grade, I coached high school boys' varsity tennis, cross country, and track and field.  I continue to volunteer my time to those great PV athletic programs.

I am an avid runner and love to take my two dogs (Marley and Josie) out for long runs and walks.  If you see an old duffer being pulled by a large and small dog, that would be me!  Be sure to look out for us, as we take up a good portion of the sidewalk!  I also enjoy drawing in colored pencil.
